Right of Withdrawal from Religious Education (RE)
At Highfield, we value the contribution that Religious Education makes to a child’s spiritual, moral, and cultural development. However, parents and carers have a statutory right to withdraw their child from all or part of the RE curriculum. This right applies without the need to provide a reason. If you are considering withdrawing your child, we encourage you to contact the headteacher to discuss your concerns and any alternative arrangements for your child’s supervision during these lessons. We remain committed to ensuring that all pupils feel included and respected, regardless of their family’s beliefs or background.
